Play value and experience
Skyclimber® variant 3 expands the three dimensional rope structure of the basic unit into a multi layered movement landscape with different levels, resting zones and connecting routes.
The large climbing net forms a central area where children can gain height together, change positions and develop new routes, while the two lying nets create calm retreat spaces for sitting, lying and observing so that active movement and relaxed participation are naturally combined.
The 3.00 m hand over hand ladder specifically challenges upper body strength, rhythm and endurance and enables dynamic horizontal movement through the structure, while the internal climbing ladder and the internal climbing rope provide additional vertical ascent and descent options with varying levels of difficulty.
The two triangular climbing walls add stable planar climbing elements to the rope structure, promoting secure foot placement, coordination and strategic movement planning while opening new perspectives within the construction.
The V-bridge creates a moving connection to adjacent play areas that requires balance, timing and spatial orientation and strongly encourages interaction between several users.
The hammock swing forms a communicative meeting point within the structure that invites shared swinging, resting and observing and supports social interaction, consideration and inclusive participation.
Overall the unit creates a highly interconnected play environment with smooth transitions between climbing, hanging, balancing, swinging and resting, enabling both individual challenges and cooperative group play while sustainably developing motor skills, body awareness, spatial thinking and communication.

Steel-tube framework made of Ø 60.3 mm steel tubes, protected against corrosion by spray zinc galvanizing and powder coating in a RAL color.
Hollow ball knots made of tempered steel with a diameter of 200 mm serve as connection points for the tubes and to accommodate the tension points on the space net. These are hot-dip galvanized and powder-coated in black (RAL 9005). The extremely robust polyamide (black) hollow ball cover seals the hollow ball knots after installation, protecting the tension points from weather conditions and unauthorized access.
A 6-strand Hercules rope with a diameter of 18 mm is used to construct the space net; the rope intersections are hydraulically crimped using smb aluminum ball knots or smb aluminum T-clamps.
All ropes feature a durable, UV-resistant polyamide or polyester sheath. The space net is tensioned into the tubular framework using our SECUCOPE tensioning system, which makes installation and maintenance easy and allows multiple rope strands to be retensioned using a single tensioning point. This closed tensioning system completely eliminates the need for shackle and eyelet connections.

Made from CNC-machined 13 mm thick HPL (High-Pressure Laminate) with excellent weather and UV resistance. Plate dimensions approx. 1530 x 2340 mm (WxH); includes 9 climbing holds mounted with zinc-plated screws and lock nuts, with the nuts covered by plastic protective caps. The climbing holds are manufactured using the patented EPS system, which prevents the hold or parts of it from falling off if it breaks. The climbing wall is attached to the tubular frame using 8 screw-on smb aluminum tube clamps, which are additionally powder-coated in RAL 9005, deep black. An additional horizontal framework tube for the lower attachment of the climbing wall is included in the scope of delivery.

Important:
When installing the climbing plate, the anchor frame must also be secured with ground anchors. These are included with the climbing plate.

Made from 6-strand Hercules rope, Ø 18 mm, with a polyamide or polyester sheath. The rope length from the play surface is approx. 2700 mm; 7 cylindrical climbing aids, Ø 60 mm, made of black plastic, are threaded onto the climbing rope and secured to it with screws.
The attachment to the framework is made using a screw-on smb aluminum tube clamp, which is additionally powder-coated in RAL 9005, deep black. The lower attachment is made via a hinged screw connection to the anchor frame.

Made from 6-strand Hercules rope, Ø 16 mm, with a polyamide or polyester sheath.
The net measures approx. 1700 x 2800 mm and provides an additional climbing option on the outside of the climbing frame. The rope intersections are connected using smb stainless steel wire rope clamps; the mesh size is approx. 280 x 300 mm.
The mounting is achieved using 26 ROWOCON sleeves secured in the framework tubes, with no exposed screw connections. An additional horizontal framework tube for the lower connection of the mesh is included in the scope of delivery.

Rope ladder with 7 cross ropes serving as rungs.
Made of Hercules rope, Ø 18 mm, length from play surface approx. 2500 mm, vertical spacing of the rungs approx. 330 mm. The cross ropes are available in various lengths from 265 to 580 mm, with both ends of the ladder tapering toward the center. The rungs are connected to the two vertical ropes using proven, hydraulically crimped aluminum T-clamps. The upper connection to the crossbar of the unit is made using two smb tube clamps included in the delivery; the lower connection is secured to the anchor frame with screws.

The rope ladder consists of two 6-strand Hercules ropes (16 mm in diameter) running parallel to each other at a distance of 300 mm, with wooden rungs threaded onto them at intervals of approx. 300 mm and secured to the ropes with screws. The wooden rungs are made of black locust wood, with a diameter of 40 mm and a length of 360 mm.
The rope ladder is secured on both sides using a hinged fork/eye bolt combination, which is attached to two framework tubes on the equipment side using smb tube clamps; the necessary tube clamps are included. The other end of the rope ladder is also hinged to an additional H-post.

The anchor frame is constructed from 70x70 mm square tubes, to which 10 vertical pipe fittings made from Ø 60.3 mm round tubing are welded; the individual elements are assembled using a plug-in system and bolted together; the anchor frame is placed 470 mm deep into solid ground, aligned, and backfilled with fall protection material;
The vertical pipe connectors allow for easy and precise installation of the hollow ball knots and, consequently, the tubular framework. With the exception of a few additional components, no foundations are required. The anchor frame is fully hot-dip galvanized, ensuring long-lasting corrosion protection.

A wide range of colors is available for the ropes and steel components (for aluminum ball knots at an additional charge) in accordance with the smb ColorCard for rope play equipment.
