The Ropeway Flux 01 combines three distinct Ropeway types — Original, Duplex, and Cross — into a three-spoke balancing element. The three Ropeway sections extend at 120 degree angles and converge in the floating centre, creating the dynamic equilibrium that gives this product its name: Flux, a continuously shifting balance that responds to movement and interaction.
Each route has its own character: the Original invites calm, controlled steps, the wider Duplex encourages deliberate weight shifting, and the Cross challenges lateral movement and coordination. In the centre, all ropes react to each other — every action influences the entire system.
Flux 01 is especially engaging in shared play: children, teens, and adults approach from different directions, adjust and time their movements, yield, or change course, naturally fostering communication, cooperation, and social interaction without imposed rules. Thoughtful color choices, contrasts, and rope layout support orientation and visual differentiation, while the floating, artistic motion of the ropes evokes performer-like flow and enhances inclusive play experiences.
Ropeway Flux 01 is ideal for public play and sport spaces where movement, social engagement, creative experience, and playful learning come together for all ages and abilities.


The ropeway variant Flux

The ropeway playground equipment is great to train the sense of balance in a playful way.

The Flux variant of the smb-ropeway is special. The star-shaped arrangement of the ropeways needs no middle platform. This not only increases the motion, but also the fun – especially when several people try balancing together.

Integrate Flux elements into your ropeway set-up or as part of a smb-Adventure Park.

Ideal is the combination of several balancing bounds of the series Classic and Flux so that the construction is interesting for a wide range of age groups.

Please note when planning

Due to the low height of 400 mm, there are no requirements on the fall protection, so that the system can be installed on any surface.

Please bear in mind that the minimum degree between two balancing bounds that are connected to one platform has to be at least 72°!

The ropeway FLUX 01 consists of 3 ropeway sections that run in 3 directions at 120° each (consisting of a total of 5 ropes).
The first section has a cross construction. The Ø 18 mm ropes are alternately guided together, approx. 130 mm wide, and are connected with T-clamps and aluminum round rods L = 100 mm. The respective contact points are connected with aluminum clamps.
The second section is in duplex construction. The two Ø 18 mm ropes are laid side by side, approx. 50 mm wide. The rope ends are connected with special aluminum clamps.
The third section is in the original design. The three Ø 18 mm ropes are guided side by side, approx. 80 mm wide.
The ropeway is fastened with articulated M16 x 110 mm fork eye bolt connections. This articulated connection ensures a long service life and enables optimum rope tension.
Note: Matching support posts are not included in the scope of delivery and must be ordered separately.

Color options: A wide range of rope and panel colors is available for individual design preferences.
