Project description:
With the “Rocky Mountains” climbing landscape, an impressive combination of several central mast net climbers was created in Van der Vaartplantsoen in Den Helder. At the center of the installation is a Pico del Teide with a mast height of 7.80 m, surrounded by three Olymps with mast heights of 5.80 m each.
The varying heights of the spatial nets create a diverse three-dimensional play landscape with a wide range of climbing and movement opportunities. Three large connecting nets provide additional play areas and link the individual structures into a coherent experiential environment.
With an overall size of approximately 23.90 × 24.60 m, “Rocky Mountains” is one of the largest standard equipment in the portfolio and offers children an exceptional climbing experience with high play value. The equipment was originally built in 1997 and upgraded with new spatial nets in 2020.
