LaGa Neuss – Fusion facilities: Combining sport, space and diversity

May 7th, 2026

As part of the Landesgartenschau in Neuss, a diverse movement landscape has been created on the site of the former racecourse, where sport, play and recreation are naturally integrated. Together with strong partners, we were able to contribute to a project that demonstrates how contemporary sports facilities can be designed in public spaces.

At the centre of the site are two opposing SILENTIQ® Fusion facilities, framing a small football pitch in the middle. The area is complemented by a beach volleyball court, two URBN HOOP® courts, as well as several ground-integrated smb trampolines. Thanks to the continuous EPDM surface, the jumping elements are easily accessible and seamlessly integrated into the overall design. This creates a movement space that connects different uses and allows for low-threshold access.

The Fusion facilities combine various training forms such as calisthenics, strength and coordination training within an open system. Elements for climbing, hanging, balancing and jumping, as well as functional training with horizontal bars, nets, ropes, battle ropes and additional components, enable movement at different levels. The SILENTIQ® technology significantly reduces noise emissions and therefore supports intensive sport even in sensitive urban environments.

Embedded in the newly developed city park, the project connects urban sports offerings with generous open spaces. It creates a vibrant movement area that encourages interaction and invites people to stay active.

We are very pleased to be part of the Landesgartenschau Neuss and to have realised this project together with Franz Reschke Landschaftsarchitektur GmbH Berlin and CustomBars GmbH.
